Two Rose Ultra

Date: June 21st, 2025
Distance: 50k or 100k
Entry : £55'/£100

Two Roses Ultra - Striding across two counties

An ultramarathon with a difference. - 21st June 2025

This unique event offers you a choice of two 50k’s or 100k in one event.

You can choose between the Lancashire red rose 50k or the Yorkshire White rose 50k or do both…

The 100k will take you out from Wadsworth Community Centre in Old Town, Hebden Bridge towards Burnley, Passing through the picturesque village of Worsthorne and into the beautiful Townley Park before turning towards Clivager and up onto the tops towards a brutal climb up to Gaddings Dam and Stoodley Pike before dropping into Hebden Bridge.

After a brief pit stop at HQ you will then head out towards the historic village of Haworth and over to Bingley, coming back through the stunning Cottingley woods with its greenery and waterfalls. Past Ogden water and onto the moor into the finish.

You have a generous 24 hrs to complete the 100k giving you ample time to enjoy the scenery, we have chosen midsummer so you get the most daylight making this a tough but rewarding experience.

100k- registration between 6.00-6.45 start 7 am

Red Rose 50k - registration 7.00-7.45 start 8 am

White Rose registration 7.00-7.45-8.00 start 8.15am

Two Roses Ultra - Striding across two counties

All our usual ultra set-up with a bit extra thrown in.

Registration will have tea/coffee & toast, this will be available throughout.

Checkpoints will be roughly every 10k- all vegan-friendly with the middle one being HQ. This allows you to have a drop bag, pasta and a cuppa before heading back out on your second loop.

Both loops are quite different, so if you are choosing one over the other this might be something to consider.

the Lancashire side is rugged and although similar elevation it’s all on the second half! A fell runner’s delight …

the Yorkshire side is more gentle rolling hills and a bit more road, making this the perfect introduction to ultra running.

If you are doing both you may want a change of shoes in your drop bag as well as dry shoes!

the last couple of aid stations on the Yorkshire side will be open 12 hrs so will be a gazebo to offer a little shelter for staff and runners.

the only cut-off for the hundred will be Ledbetter road- 3am.

  • As you know we are a small, independent team, running our events with the help of an incredible team of volunteers and making our events as accessible as we can but as with any small company that does mean that some of our costs can get pretty high. All of our spending for checkpoints, medals, t-shirts etc is based on entry numbers and we do try to keep entries open as late as possible. For clarity for all future events please see the below policy:

    • Entries remain open until two weeks before the event, only our shorter distances allow entry on the day.
    • We allow deferral and transfer of places up until entries close, however we can only defer once per entry.
    • If you contact us about cancellation we will offer you deferral because we would love to have you back!
    • If you do have to cancel we understand it may be out of your control and we will be able to offer a full refund for your place up until 6 weeks before the event - after this 6 week cut off we will still process a cancellation but will only be able to offer a 50% refund, again the final cut off for this is when entries close

your deferral can be carried over two years if you are having to defer due to pregnancy or childbirth.

  • We operate a no-tolerance policy when it come to harassment of any kind. this goes for runners and crew alike.

you will be banned from entering any of our events.

we welcome feedback on our events, please tell us what you think...we will ask you !
